e-MMC
Waltop e-MMC is an embedded Multi-Media-Card solution designed in a BGA package form. e-MMC operation is identical to a MMC card and therefore is a simple read and write to memory using MMC protocol which is a industry standard.
The embedded flash management software or Flash Transition Layer of e-MMC manages Wear Leveling, Bad Block Management and ECC. The device is designed to cover a wide area of applications such as smart phones, cameras, PDA, digital recorders, MP3 players, pagers, electronic toys, etc. They feature high performance, low power consumption, low cost and high density.
The e-MMC makes available to the host sudden power failure safe-update operations for the data content, by supporting reliable write features. The devices supports boot operation and sleep/awake commands. In particular, during the sleep state the host power regulator for VCC can be switched off, thus minimizing the power consumption of the devices. |
